  1. FTP Vs. SFTP

Never really thought that I’d need to use SFTP 1, what with not needing the security really. Stumbled across an FAQ that said try SFTP when my files took ages to upload in Coda. I did and it’s amazingly faster. My recommendation: Use SFTP, save some time!
    1. That’s Secure FTP
  2. Coda

Coda: no competitor (yet) on the Mac for web development. Costs (one of those rare times when I buy software), but worth it. Built in syntax colouring, CSS panel thing, FTP, Terminal (and ssh), deals with sites and has code completion. Preview isn’t great sometimes, but that’s a minor point. Beats Smultron as a web development platform.
